All that Glitters

The clash of nature and commerce in my work is not accidental—it is a deliberate exploration of the tension between the ephemeral beauty of the natural world and the relentless pursuit of economic growth. What do we prioritize, and what are we willing to sacrifice for one or the other? These questions linger on the fringes of my compositions, urging viewers to confront the complexities of our modern existence.

If visions were elephants

Drawing inspiration from the magnificent balance of our planet—where chaos and beauty intertwine in a delicate dance—Rock's artwork serves as a poignant reminder of the need to find harmony in an increasingly noisy world. His unique blend of digital and traditional techniques, navigating the chasm between technological innovation and artistic expression, is sure to intrigue and excite. It retains a sense of spontaneity and fluidity in the digital phase while infusing each piece with the handcrafted touch of the artist.

Free Way

My work is a testament to my curiosity and exploration. Around this time, I was deeply interested in linguistics and etymology, fascinated by how words evolve and their histories, much like in spelling bees. This made me wonder if a similar tracing could be applied to visual languages. Can we trace a color scheme back to a specific culture? While art historians do this to some extent, linguistics is more detailed. I applied this approach to my series, viewing my imagery under the same microscope. 

Fever Dream 

The artwork encapsulates intense, surreal, and often disorienting nature. We are transported into a mesmerizing realm where the subconscious reigns supreme. Through a masterful blend of digital and traditional media, each piece becomes a portal—a gateway to a menagerie of dreamscapes, where the familiar dissolves into the fantastical, and the boundaries between reality and imagination blur.
