In moments marked by violent confrontations, hostile interactions, and unimaginable atrocities, we are reminded of the urgent need to “give peace a chance.” This body of work seeks to evoke reflection on the elusive and fragile nature of peace and life.
These serigraph prints, inspired by drawings created during the summer of 2024, incorporate the universally recognized peace symbol alongside delicate images of flowers and leaves from the artist’s own garden. These elements serve as a metaphorical reminder of the beauty, fragility, and transience inherent in peace and the natural world. Each limited-edition print is hand-numbered on the lower left and signed on the lower right with a unique stamp created exclusively for this series.
The artwork is printed on Strathmore 80lb (130 g/m²) micro-perforated drawing paper. The perforated edges are intentionally preserved as part of the artwork’s integrity and should not be removed. In September 2024, the artist, in collaboration with master printer Alejandro Chen Li, printed all pieces at the School of Visual Arts Printshop, 133 West 21st Street, NYC.
